- The Cross Mountain 40 degree bag is incredibly versatile. It is filled with Climashield HL, has shingle construction, is super lightweight & packs very small
- It has a dual-purpose design: a warm weather bag & an overbag that can be used over any traditional three-season bag for winter camping (it adds approximately 25 degrees of extra warmth)
- When using the Cross Mountain as an overbag, slide a pad into the sleeve & insert any three-season bag inside of it
- This design assures that the inside bag is always on top of the pad & won't roll off
- The Cross Mountain's DWR treated outer shell fabric will shed moisture & help keep the inside bag dry, which is great for winter camping
- Insulation - Climashield HL continuous filament polyester insulation
- The most durable of the high performance synthetic insulations
- Climashield HL dries quickly & insulates even when wet.
- Exterior Shell - 290T rip stop nylon. WR surface treatment to repel water
- Interior lining - 260T nylon. Soft, breathable, & treated with a stain resistant finish
- Exterior of pad sleeve - Durable 210T nylon rip stop. WR surface treatment to repel water
- Perma pillow - Built in pillow sleeve. Stuff in a jacket or a backcountry pillow & it will stay in place all night.
- 70" YKK zipper - #8 coil on all Classic Series bags.
- No-snag zipper action is prevented by running a fabric stiffener on both sides of the zipper that keeps the soft fabric from getting caught up in the zipper teeth.
- Zip-together - Any of these bags will zip together with other bags in the Classic Series, i.e. Lost Ranger & Encampment
